Dimitris Bochtis has a background in Informational Systems Science and is currently holding the position of Data and analytics Director in Sleed. Dimitris started his professional career as a software engineer, mostly in the retail industry. Then taking into consideration the increasing signigficance of data analysis and data emerging insights he moved to the data analysis field within the maritime industry. He has experience in merchant ship management with one of the biggest Ship management Companies worldwide. Within shipping he was helping organizations to adopt new technologies and move a traditional industry towards the new era. In the meantime he got an MSc in Informational Systems and his MBA while he also studied multicultural management in the University of Tulane in New Orleans. To him the connection between people and technology in a non intrusive, most efficient way is of paramount importance. The challenge of connecting people that do not belong in the same organization and do not act under a process is what brought him back to the highly competitive industry of marketing and e-commerce.
